A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here and on SmithTeens. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Create Art for Yourself... Not Others.

by keepsakescrafts on January 4, 2011   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

Last year my word for 2010 was 'CREATE'. I started exploring with my Muse, I dipped my toes into new mediums and forms I'd never tried before, I also learned to STOP trying to make things to please others. Art comes from my heART... each piece is a small part of me. Once I stopped trying to please or emulate others my works took on a life of their own and even started to get recognized. I was asked to join Design Teams and to take part in other artistic endeavors. But no matter what... my ART is still from me and for me First.
