Dad shopped for first platform shoes

by sisterpoet on June 10, 2011   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

While the facts are fuzzy, I recall being sent out with my dad by my mom to get shoes for confirmation day. I do not believe my mom was aware that we were on a high heel shoe shopping hunt. I am pretty sure she was upset with the purchase as she missed the first high heel shopping experience with her only daughter. My Dad however saw nothing wrong with the two wooden planks strapped to his daughter's feet. His only comment in the store was "Will they match your robe?"
