A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here and on SmithTeens. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

What Place Do You Remember Most?

by Casey_Burry on November 1, 2011   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

Hey, I'm new to SMITH and really love it, and I'm asking this question because of an exhibit we're showing at Underline Gallery in NYC. We're having a contest around this question of "Places You Remember" over on the gallery's site, so I figured I'd let the sixes know about it too, and share the contest here.

Here's how it works:
Submit your memories as part of our exhibition, INFINITE PERSPECTIVES: Places I'll Remember, happening at Underline Gallery. In 66 words or less, tell us - What Place You Remember Most - to win maps and notebooks featuring spectacular 3D vistas by world renowned cartographer Jeffrey Ambroziak. Prizes will go to the six people with the most compelling responses to our question. Submit to six-word-memoirs on Smith Mag.

More information (and inspiration) is at underlinegallery.com
