A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Practicing mindfulness. Living in "The Moment."

by Contemplative on January 4, 2012   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

Just started a new Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) group yesterday. It's been a while since I last formally trained in this discipline back in July 2, 2010 though I try to practice daily. Literally, last night, 1/3/2012, my group started and though I was disappointed that I will be learning Interpersonal Effectiveness last, we began with Core Mindfulness including living in the moment, observing, describing (with words), and fully participating.

Karma happens again as it coincides with the launch of SMITH's new book "The Moment." And helps me with my DBT lifelong learning goal of appreciating all the interconnectivities of life AND learning something new and sharing it with someone else. Thanks all.
