A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

just do, ask, and say it

I never make one cause usually by
Febuary I doing what I said I wasn't going to do. But this year to I decided to make one: NOT to be AFRAID of whatever the answer/consequance may be. Everyone else tells me, ask me, and shows me without any disregards to my feelings, and I usually take it and never comment, but enough is enough and it's time for me to get back the confence and high self-esteem I use to have. I am not out to hurt anyone or embarance anyone, but if I do agree with or feel that there is a problem I'm going to start letting the words come out of my mouth. Hopfully I will not let my mouth over ride my brain. Plus I think at times I have good/useful info for others, but won't share for fear of being judge by what I say, do, or ask. This year I am going to have a voice and hopefully I will use it wisely. I also am going to fine myself a quarter for everytime I break this resolution Created a jar and everything. One or 2 things will become of my 2012 resolution either I'll have that savings account I keep saying that I;m going to open or I will start regaining myself confidence and self-esteem I use to have..... wish me luck
