Search for "Kicking Kirsty" leads nowhere.

There was a book I had as a child; I received it circa 1990. It had a purple cover and was titled something pertaining to "pajamas" and/or "bedtime." It housed a small collection of original stories and fantastic illustrations. I would like to locate a copy of it, but can't remember the title or author. I remember a character named "Kicking Kirsty" who said, "All this jumping has made me thirsty." In the same story, "Fat (?) Fred" says, "You can't see me, I'm under the bed." Google has no idea what I'm talking about, so I turn to you, sixers, have yee the knowledge to help me compete my quest?
