"Are you willing to buy some?"

As a fresh college graduate in a failing job market I sought the help of an employment agency. I submitted my resume, filled out the application, and did the testing. At my interview today, I was offered a temporary assembly position, 5 a.m. to 3:30p.m., for six months, steel toed boots are required. I jokingly said, “I don’t own any steel toed boots,” to which the woman replied, “Are you willing to buy some?”
