"Mind changing those gloves? That's nasty."

by jl333 on November 18, 2012   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

Went to Subway tonight to grab a couple of footlong sandwiches. As the young lad popped my sandwich into the toaster oven, he went over and started pushing buttons on the cash register with his food gloves on! After pushing misc. buttons, he took my sandwich out of the toaster oven and proceeded to ask me what I wanted on my sandwiches! I was grossed out, thinking how nasty that was that he wants to now dip his hands in all of the fixings with the same gloves that he just used on the cash register. I called him out on it, and asked him to change his gloves before he touches any other food. He was clearly annoyed. Right then the manager walks in and asks what the problem was. I told her that he had food gloves on, went over and touched buttons all over the register, and now wants to touch food without changing his gloves! I told them both, that's nasty. And hopefully he was so embarrassed that he'll never do it again!
