Today, time's taking up the slack.

Retirement. More time. More money. Supposedly, more opportunities to see the world. There are also more aches, more pains, and certain windows begin to close. Not much slack in the lifeline. Realizing how perfect and precious each day is, regardless of its supposed purpose, is a gift of aging. Perhaps, wisdom is the prize we get for not having those things in abundance when we were young. Is youth really wasted on the young? I don't think so ... I needed my youth to make up the difference when there was too little time, too little money, and greater obligations. And today's only Monday ...
