Still working on "picking my dresses."

Remember when the catch phrase "pick your stresses" hit the pop culture vernacular? My niece, then a pre-schooler, heard, and repeated, it differently. "Pick your dresses," she would say to her daddy when he was fretting over one thing and another, a pint-sized echo of her mother.

Her kid-speak became part of the family lexicon, and still is to this day, although she has long-since grown into a lovely young lady about to graduate high school. But her little girl logic makes so much sense to me: each day, we are faced with challenges, and how we handle them is up to us. Sporting the right attitude...or dress...can make all the difference.
