Weight of single parenthood crushing today.

I've missed so much work this year, it's ridiculous. It has been one thing after another since October. Im pretty sure that today will zero out my leave balance, but my daughter sounds like she's about to cough up a lung. Instead of my work trip I'll be taking her to the doctor. I know it's the right thing today, but it feels bad, missing work. But I have no options. I have no family here, and all of my friends work.

Now to suppress that uncomfortable feeling and do what I've got to do...
