A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Bike Ride to Remember: March 20.

by Believe on March 3, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

JL333 posted a memoir about dusting off your bike and taking a ride in honor of James and DynamicDbytheC. It got me to thinking of what a great idea that was and what a great symbol of solidarity it would be if we could all ride together. And even though we are all spread out on this giant blue and green marble, maybe there was a way for us to make it happen.

So, an idea was born: Bike Ride to Remember. On March 20 join us on a bike ride. Ride alone, or with someone you love. Ride around the block, or a mile, or 50 miles. Ride in the rain, or the snow, or the sunshine. Just ride.
