Two to tangle. Three to tango

by Staraj on March 17, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

As I watched a panel discussion this morning on cable TV about President Obama's trip to the Middle East, one participant repeatedly said, "It's takes two to tango." He was referring to Israel and Palestine. Or more specifically, Benjamin Netanyahu and Mahmoud Abbas. I immediately thought, "Nope." Not much tangoing over the decades, but plenty of tangling for these two. On a dance floor that doesn't seem big enough. Nevertheless, the US keeps trying its darndest to be Dick Clark and play the right music. Searching for a good beat — not a good beating. Meanwhile Israel and Palestine can't seem to avoid stepping on each other's toes.
