A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here and on SmithTeens. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

SIX WORD » LIFE

Life on mute with lost remote.

by Layne on March 25, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

Things have died down slightly from last week. I decided that after my teacher wouldn't listen when I tried to reason with her, and my counselor sided with her to just end the whole issue, that I guess I just have to tough it out through this year. I've been doing so, but everything seems muted, dull, unexciting. I have a boyfriend that's going to ask me to prom one of these days. Yay! ..but honestly I don't know if I'm all that excited. School just seems like a fuzzy dream that blends together with endless stress and long late nights. I haven't even been talking to my friends that much lately. I don't know what's wrong, but I also don't know how to fix it.
