A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here and on SmithTeens. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

So glad she was back today!

by LynnGlenn on April 8, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

My best friend Blakeleigh was sick the whole week before spring break. It was so awful for me because she's like the only friend in my school who understands me. And my school is pretty small, everyone knows everyone. Anyway, I didn't get to see her for two weeks because the week after was spring break. I came in today and was all like "Blakeleigh! you're back! I missed you! I'm gonna come hug you as soon as I put my stuff down!" Then we talked about how our spring break was. Of course, her's was more exciting then mine. She had plans and I didn't. Anyway, I was just ecstatic that she was back! Thanks for taking time to read this! Bye!
