My midnight sun. My midday moon

by ErikaStellar on April 12, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

For my 100th memoir I thought I'd revive my first memoir from September 2011. It is a line from my wedding vows to my husband. We met as friends years ago and the instant I met him I felt connected, I even remember the exact thought: "I will marry this man some day". We never dated back then but always found each other in the same places at the same time (he later told me he too had a crush on me and would often find excuses to hang out). Eventually he got married and moved away and I got a job and moved away. Seven years later we ended up in the same state 500 miles from where we met. I told him he was my midnight sun and my midday moon because I always knew he was out there even when I couldn't see him. I always knew we would be together, it was just a matter of time and patience. I'm a pretty lucky gal to have found my soul mate.
