Great writing, that is. "God hung in there like a rusty fish hook." Comment made about the early demise of so much of the South's richness but not of its religious traditions. "All Over but the Shoutin'" by Rick Bragg. Unbeknownst to me until recently, he was a contributor to one of the past Six-Word books.
