A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Who is right? Who is wrong?

Okay, this is pretty silly...but the kids I take care of are pretty persistent. Every day I make their beds. I explained that (1) A made bed looks better when entering their rooms, and (2), I strongly feel a made bed helps them sleep more soundly at night. The kids think I'm way off my rocker and claim its silly that a 'made bed' would help them sleep better. So what's your opinion?Do you think you sleep just the same in an unmade bed? Or do you think you get a better nights sleep starting off with covers nicely over you. The kids insist that it's a waste of time to make beds. I'm not convinced, and not ready to experiment just yet. However, if the community here agrees with the kids...then I'll stop making the beds. Am I wasting my time making beds?
