A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Life currently includes Uzbekistan mountain climbers.

Manic Saturday comprised of searching for "lost" classmates on the internet, in preparation for 35 year class reunion that I've found myself in charge of, playing online Words With Friends, composing advice memoirs and trying to figure out exactly what Larry wants in new category, cleaning parrot cage, emptying water from a stack of whitewater rafts, wrangling cell tower high ropes climbers from Uzbekistan, keeping 110 pounds of dog from joining the ruckus from the unfortunate car-
motorcycle accident in front of the house, fielding phone calls from multiple callers re: a postcard they received regarding unclaimed money, cleaning up the entire bottle's worth of "freshly baked sugar cookie" oil that I spilled all over the kitchen counter, running an additional 400 feet of dog fence and arguing with my husband about the esthetics of said fence. I think there's a bottle of wine in the fridge with my name on it. Am starting on it shortly.
