A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

by KharisJo on April 25, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

It's ANZAC day in Oz, when we salute our service men and women, past and present. Anzac biscuits were sent to our soldiers overseas or made in camp. I make some every ANZAC day. Shared some with friends this afternoon and taking more to my study group tonight. So here is the recipe to share with you: Mix together 1 cup rolled oats,3/4 cup dessicated coconut, 1 cup plain flour, 1/2 cup sugar. Melt 8oz butter or marg and 2 tabs golden syrup, add to dry ingredients along with 1 teas bicarb of soda dissoved in a tablespoon of boiling water. Mix well and drop spoonfuls on baking sheet. Bake in moderate oven about 15 mins.
and share them with your mates :)
