A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here and on SmithTeens. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Mother's Day: flowers and Emergency Department.

by oopsalittle on May 12, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

Started out lovely - met up with my beautiful daughter for brekky, lovely afternoon with John - picking olives from our gorgeous trees. Flowers delivered from my fabulous son that lives in Sydney. Visited my mum in aged care - sang a few songs she remembered - left her smiling and happy. Back at home - out of the blue John has chest pains. Called an ambulance - spent the next eight hours in the emergency room. Tests and more tests - we're finally back home in the early hours of Monday morning. Tired but relieved - he got the all clear. Not sure yet what it was but we are more than happy that another health scare is over - a Happy Mother's Day
