"I will step on your head"

by treehugger on May 29, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

Part of a poem I wrote as a teenager. The full line is "I will step on your head just to reach more the sky". The poem was about standing up for myself, not being bullied, not backing down. 15 years later, whenever faced with one of life's "bullies", I remember this line and repeat it to myself. Somehow I think I draw strength from the teenage me that vowed to not back down.
