A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here and on SmithTeens. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

My cat, Baby, is an ijit.

by harley587 on May 30, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

My cat, Baby, will come into the bathroom to supervise. She will sit right in front of me and blankly stare at the tub wall. She then has her box that she hangs in. She sits in her box and stares at the wall. She is also the only cat who falls behind a dresser and cries because she can't figure out how to get out. And, she is the only cat that I know of that can lay across my empty coffee table and fall off. I think there may be a mental issue there! However, she is the most loveable cat in existence. She feels the need to go to bed when I do. She then lays in the crook of my arm, with her head on my arm and wraps her little kitty arms around my neck.
