SIX WORD » LIFE

I will never know the outcome...

I was at a child's birthday party at the beach when a few of us noticed a girl leaning on a tree nearby. She looked about 16, but she said she was 25. She tried to stand, but couldn't. We gave her water. She threw it up. Over the next 20 minutes we learned that she was alone and not from here. She couldn't explain how she landed there except to say she drank the night before and didn't know. Her name is Maria and wore a Smirnoff t-shirt and jeans. When I asked her where her friends or family are, she couldnt answer. She may have been homeless on the streets of Miami Beach. I know nothing else about her and never will. I called the paramedics and she was taken to the hospital. I can't stop thinking about her and wonder what will become of her
