"It's a funeral, not a vacation"

I love my hubby with all my heart, but the man is a workaholic. Can't get him to take an afternoon off, much less a week. The time has come to scatter my dad's ashes in San Francisco Bay. I booked our flights for the end of August. When I made a comment recently that it would be nice to do something fun this summer, he said, "We're going to California..."
