A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Didn't learn his lesson first time

I've never claimed to be a rocket scientist...but some people make things more difficult in life than they have to be. Yesterday while jetskiing...I couldn't help but notice that a small pickup truck was stuck in the sand (we drive on a small each to launch our jetskis, and people get stuck ALL the time!). It was obvious that this section wasn't hard compact, but rather the sand was loose and deep. This truck got stuck. The driver and a couple of Good Samaritans helped dig and push him out. So what does the driver do? He drove forward, made a U-turn and went in the same exact spot, only to get stuck again! It's not rocket science people!
