A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Go everywhere with pack of cards.

by LetTheWolfin on July 19, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

I simply love playing cards, especially gin rummy which my wonderful late Grandma taught me to play. I used to love playing with Grandma in particular, especially when I beat her!!! These days, I never go anywhere without a pack of cards - her cards actually - and one of my favourite things to do with my young daughters is to take them out for a hot chocolate and a game of gin rummy in a local cafe! Kind of old-fashioned compared to all the iPad games they also like to play, but it's special time for us all. They seem to enjoy it almost as much as I do!

Oh, and the five of hearts has always been my favourite card. No idea why.
