A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here and on SmithTeens. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Had an idea: Sixty In Sixes.

by LetTheWolfin on August 7, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

To expand on Larry's brilliant Six-Words formula, thought I'd try writing a story in ten sentences of six words each, hence Sixty In Sixes (perhaps SIS for short? Hmmm, does that mean if I do these, I am a Sissy?)

Here's my first attempt:

She'd never loved anyone like this.
Beyond infatuation, she was totally smitten.
She felt like she'd been awakened.
Her husband was due home imminently.
He'd been away for so long.
She hadn't even actually missed him.
Her lover wanted her so much.
How could she carry on normally?
Her husband walked through the door.
"I have something to tell you".
