A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Baby bump: An introvert's worst enemy.

by Wench on August 11, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

I was trying to figure out how to word this the other day, while hanging out with my sister. " Just because I'm pregnant doesn't mean I want to talk about it with everyone. It's like telling my in-laws, " Hey, I was banging your son, let's discuss!"

It cannot be helped. People see a belly and they cannot help themselves. I don't have much to say. Yes, I'm rather obviously with-child. So, how 'bout those Phillies?

I know it's curmudgeonly. Call it nesting. I want to find a place just big enough for the two of us to snuggle, farabove the world in a quiet tree. Just Mama and Little Bird.
