A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

I WILL meet Bowie one day.

by LetTheWolfin on August 13, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

Just come back from a screening at a local cinema of the concluding film of the David Bowie Is exhibition at London's Victoria and Albert Museum. David Bowie is a true and deep inspiration; he just transports me. He makes me believe I can fulfil my dreams. He is entirely peerless and I must meet him one day. I have high hopes for my future - call me crazy, delusional and just a big dreamer (nothing I don't already think about myself or that I've been told before). I do believe that if you want something, if you're clear about it, if you know why you want it and if it's good for you, you will get it. I want to meet him to thank him in person for his beautiful music and for his tremendous influence on my own songwriting and singing. I want to sing/jam with him. I want to talk to him and just have a conversation with him. Just, say, one afternoon with him. I'm not a starstruck type and I know how to talk to famous people as I've dealt with several in previous jobs and know several myself anyway. Laugh if you will, I want to meet David Bowie. I'm even seriously considering doing my hair like this photo.
