Stolen Pear Caper. Muffins, muffins, muffins.

by canadafreeze on September 27, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

These muffins were made with stolen pears. Mmmmmm ... Well, one legitimate pear and two scooped from a neighbourhood pear tree. Well, maybe not from the tree, exactly ...

I have noticed and commented on the tree that hangs over the fence and drops fruit into the alley. So, the other day as we were driving by, we pulled into the alley, slowed down (well, stopped) I opened my car door and scooped up a pair of pears. We were observed by a passerby who just smiled and walked on.

Today, I had one BC pear and the two alley pears in my fruit bowl. The muffins are delish - no doubt, because of the stolen pair.
