A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Can six- word turd be polished?

by thesagittarian12 on November 8, 2013   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

Initially, I was all gung-ho for the changes on this website, but my lack of involvement here in the last month or two suggests a greater malaise. I understand that this is a LITERARY site but, as a natural mathematician, I hate that numbers are being looked on as the work of the devil. I used to find it interesting to know how many comments the top five (or whatever number it was) most commented sixes had attracted, or how many hours ago a particular memoir had been posted. It just feels like a lot of the colour has been bleached from the place.
