A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Toss r-o-t-t-e-n eggs here -only OVER-EASY!

....please...my SIX reminds me of the counter-culture books of the 60s, like LENORE KANDEL's provocatively titled "FUCK", which I think was a failed attempt to neutralize a "bad" word by repeating it over & over or making it the title.

Then there was the social & political activist ABBIE HOFFMAN, who wrote "STEAL THIS BOOK!", which I believed caused a minor uproar in bookstores nationwide when some hippies tried to take the author's advice. It did sell a quarter of a million copies.

TOSS rotten eggs, yeah! Like the cancer I had back in 1986 & any other "bad things", like rejections & name-calls that are hurled at me, I've learned it's best to EMBRACE them, LET them GO & LET GOD!
