A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Tonight's low: 18. Tomorrow's high: 18.

Just looked at the weather online. Made me laugh. We live, technically, in "The South," but up in the mountains. We get real winters, with real snow, ice, and the like. Not nearly as bad as Michigan, especially the U.P., but enough to make getting up and down the mountain a real pain in the ass at times. Still, when the low is expected to be 1 or below, before factoring in the windchill, this part of the world is not equipped to fare very well. We have two heaters turned on high, in the pump house, creating a very spa-like atmosphere and hopefully ensuring that the water pump won't freeze. Hey, on the upside, Christmas break has been extended by at least one and likely two days:-D
