A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

I can't make this stuff up.

During his break this morning, a Deaf co-worker came into my office and proceeded to inform me that the testosterone booster pills he's been taking are having a positive effect, and that he can now achieve erections once again.

Because, you know, I was concerned about his reproductive health.

Yesterday, a different co-worker (hearing) came in and told me all about how she once beat the hell out of one of her husbands because he was "drunk off his ass."

Because, you know, I wanted to know about her past relationships.

This morning, a third co-worker (also hearing), who recently suffered a broken nose, informed me that while she can't kiss much due to the nose getting in the way thing, she's totally good with action below the chin.

Like I said, I can't make this stuff up.
