A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Let's buy a house we said!

by JenaK on January 26, 2014   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

My husband and I bought a house about 4 years ago. We were thrilled to find it. It was quite a deal. 30 acres, 3 bedroom, 2 bath. It was everything we were looking for. It is in the county, has two stories, away from the mass, and it even came with horses.
I love my home, but I laugh every time something breaks or needs fixed because the only person we have to call about it is ourselves.
You never think of the little things that you will have to take care of when you are your own landlord.
But by the time we pass and our children take over it will be ready.
