Is good enough ever good enough?

This questioned came to mind while listening to an interview with Jessica Lamb-Shapiro, author of "Promise Land: My Journey Through America's Self-Help Culture".

We are daily inundated with the notion that we are never good enough. We are never thin enough, rich enough, young enough, smart enough, successful enough, hip, savvy or witty enough. Media reinforces this notion in every possible way.
