A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here and on SmithTeens. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Words you found that I need.

by Believe on February 17, 2014   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

We happen upon them often. Words that are found at just the right moment; the exact time that we need to find them. They can be hiding in the glossy pages of a dated magazine, or even in a favorite book. We find them and tuck them into the corners of our pockets, or minds, or cookbooks.

My mother keeps her found words in the pages of her Bible. As if she is making an amendment to her sacred text. I fold them into notebooks. They fall out when I pick the notebook up. My sacred found words fall often to the floor.

Share with me words that you have found. At just the right time. At just the right place.

After all, they may be just the words I am looking for.
