In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

"Goatees are made from pure evil."

something said on a cartoon show my son was watching. the goatee=evil joke is old, but this particular rendering of it in context was hilarious. i marvel at how funny and well-written some of the shows he watches are. i don't think my parents or their contemporaries found much to enjoy in Clutch Cargo or Atom Ant. i just watched the Lego Movie with him over the weekend, and the co-existing layers of humor for both adults and children is like some kind of new art form that has arisen in "children's" movies, and those who do it well are tremendous writers.
