A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

Making new friends, to feel something.

by Quinnford on March 1, 2014   |  FacebooktwitterTumblr

I used to be pretty popular. I used to have my schedule filled and a long extravagant list of all my friends. Now, during an exercise in case management, I counted only 4 people that I considered my true friends. I stopped going to high school, so I cut myself off from all of my 'only friends in school' friends. And I think the lack of interaction is part of what's getting to me. So I'm starting to make new friendships with people that I can truly count on, aside my loyal 4, and see if that helps.
