Maundy Thursday, The Day before Good Friday. I recall being told by my grandmother, “Maundy” comes from the Latin word mandatum meaning commandment. This refers to the commandment given by Jesus at the Last Supper: “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another...” (John 13:34)
Not a bad way to live no matter your beliefs. Often forgotten words while debating so many social, political, and ideological positions.
We do not, and often will not, agree on many things, but please love and respect one another. We don't always have to be right, neither of us, but we should be heard.
As my brother would say, "good point" and I would respond, "well taken."
