A Six-Word Memoir® is the story of your life—some part of it or all of it—told in exactly six words.

In classrooms and boardrooms, churches and synagogues, veteran's groups and across the dinner table, Six-Word Memoirs have become a powerful tool to catalyze conversation, spark imagination or simply break the ice.

Here on Six Words, we offer a simple platform to share the short, sharp story of your life, as well as provide daily prompts to share your six-word takes on the topics of our times.

More than half a million short stories have been shared here. Read more about six.

So give six a try—and make your words count.

I want attachment issues with you.

Last month, I met a man and I'm smitten. He goes between talking about the future and being super realistic about how little time has passed since we've known each other and how little time remains until I go back to school while he continues to live here. He worries about getting too attached too quickly and "taking the fun out of things" and I just want to feel okay with saying that I like him and not have to worry about if he thinks I'm getting too attached. It's frustrating and scary, because I'm reaching the point where I don't want him to leave my life, and he's already said that if we didn't work out he sees no way we could be casual friends.
