i'd almost swear that if i so much as allow myself to THINK that i really like a certain product it sends some kind of cosmic signal to the manufacturer which they receive as a feeling that said product should be discontinued. two cases in point are stella d'oro anginetti cookies and trader joe's lemon meringues. mind you, TJ's still sells vanilla and chocolate meringues, but the lemon were the ones I just loved. there are many other examples .... sigh...
