About Me

If you were to throw up your hands in exasperation and yell \"it's the story of my life,\" what would you be talking about?
The never-ending cycle of laundry. Every time I think I've caught up and conquered the proverbial mountain of laundry, I realize that there is an entire mountain range piled high behind the laundry basket. But honestly, I am the luckiest woman in the world. I can really relate to Dorothy in \"The Wizard of Oz\" searching for something that was always in my own back yard.

Besides SMITH, I read stories at:
The Onion (being a just-the-facts journalist I admire their freedom to have fun with the written word); Texas Monthly (Living in Arkansas, you have to know you neighbors); Several foreign publications (I know just enough Spanish to be dangerous and I respect the language which stresses the importance of pronunciation); HighCaliberRadio.com (I love free speech); and a variety of other music and art publications that highlight creativity

In bed I like to read:
Usually, the insides of my eyelids after a busy day of working full time at the local daily newspaper. But I read a variety of current fiction and non-fiction.

My favorite story of all time is:
The Notebook. (The book, not the movie). I have been fortunate enough to find a wonderful, loving husband and I can relate to this story of true love that outlasts the painful hours of life that rips our hearts out. When it is most difficult to love someone is the time that they need the love the most.

Right now, I'm reading:
A variety of magazines that fit into my lap (because I am in my work cubicle).
