If you were to throw up your hands in exasperation and yell \"it's the story of my life,\" what would you be talking about? I'm the luckiest girl in the world - I never throw my hands up. Until I'm dancin' my heart out.
Besides SMITH, I read stories at: the library, in the New Yorker and online whenever I need inspiration and/or a break from writing.
In bed I like to read: contemporary works about modern life. You'll never find Jane Austen on my night table.
My favorite story of all time is: one about a psychotherapist that I was told by a friend, who'd read it in The New Yorker. I don't want to butcher it here, but it is one of the very few stories that has stayed with me since its first telling.
Right now, I'm reading: The Heights by Peter Hedges. I am reading it while having lunch, in between things and basically whenever I can justify reading instead of working. Haven't been this captivated by a book in a long time.
Sigh.
