About Me

If you were to throw up your hands in exasperation and yell \"it's the story of my life,\" what would you be talking about?
It seems like there are many nights where I'm busy as hell and have no time for anything. Those are always the night my phone is vibrating with requests to hang out and do awesome things with friends. The nights where I actually am free and am DYING to go out and paint the town, are the nights where I end up solo at a bar full of people - with their friends.

Besides SMITH, I read stories at:
Vulture (New York magazine's Culture blog) RollingStone.com The Awl Pitchfork.com St. Petersburg Times has some of the best feature stories I've ever read in life. EVER.

In bed I like to read:
Plays. A recent favorite is Sarah Ruhl's \"Melancholy Play.\"

My favorite story of all time is:
Norton Juster's \"The Phantom Tollbooth.\" First of all, characters like The Dodecahedron and The Mathemagician got me a head start of advance geometry and calculus. I still hate math to this day. Secondly, Milo (the story's hero) is such a sad sack. He's like a 12-year-old hipster in an imaginary world where the vinyl he collects spins iambic pentameters from afterschool specials.

Right now, I'm reading:
Your poker face. And yes, I can read it, contrary to popular belief.
