The one song that encapsulates, not necessarily my life, but a song where the words hold dear to me, is Angel by Sarah McLachlan. I held my Mom in her arms as she died listening to that song. As my Mom took her final breaths, we played that song in the background. we were all gathered around her bedside. As the last note of the song played, my Mom took her final and last breath. almost as if on cue. That song will forever be engrained in my head.
