Driving home my daughter pointed out the first star (it was not even 5pm, I might add). “C’mon, we’ve got to wish,” I chirped at my teen. We drove in silence for a few minutes and I said “Well kid, what do you think of our chances?” And although she continued to gaze out the window I caught the flash of a quick smile as she replied “Better than they were before.”
