I used to work for a big box retail store as a supervisor. One of my employees was a special needs young man. His job was to collect the carts in the parking lot. His dad asked me to make sure he stayed hydrated and to remind him to drink. Gatorade and water were provided, but he would have to be nudged to drink it. So I started bringing in freezer pops (those frozen tubes of flavored sugar water) for him. A glass of water or gatorade then he could have a freezer pop. That drastically increased his liquid intake. He still works there seven years after I moved on. I've seen him a few times over the years and he just waves.

It's been 100+ degrees here for weeks. Had to grab a couple items, so I ran up to the store. He sees me, comes over and says \"Hi Ms. Lady. Nobody brings me popsicles like you did.\" I smiled and said I'll be right back. I went to the grocery store next door and bought him a bag of 24 popsicles.
