My mother was diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic when I was a young girl.
Growing up with her was a constant test to sanity.
At 13 I thought foster care would be safer, it turned out to be a probable “toss up”.
As the years progress the likelihood decreases that I will be affected and when my daughter entered her 20’s with out too much \"craziness\" it was a relief.
Eventually I’ll have grandchildren.
This was inspired by marymc’s question “Alzheimer's. Would you want to know?”
Oh the \"splendid\" things we potentially pass to our children ;-)
